different than description

I have the 5 inch Santoku. It is one of my best knives. It looks the same as the knife in this listing, but is made with German rather than Japanese steel.

I will NOT purchase this brand again.

These were ordered with great excitement and anticipation of having a ""go to"" knife set. These knives do not ""cut"" at all; they crush and tear the vegetables apart. Terribly disappointed. Maybe we received a bad set, I don't know, but I would not recommend this brand to anyone. Sorry to give this review because we were really looking forward to a great knife set.
