Slim forty-two, not the same as reg forty-two.
The suit is great. The size said forty-two short, slim. I took a chance it would fit a mature man's waist. It didn't. My bad.

Avoid Buying From Daily Haute
While the suit seemed to be decent quality for the price, I missed the fact that this came from a third party and not Macys. Daily Haute decided to ship this with USPS, something of this price and size shouldn’t be shipped with instructions to be dropped in mail box. USPS lost this package for about a week, Daily Haute had zero assistance with delivery. I had to create a ticket and basically harass USPS to locate this package. After all this, I had to return the suit since it was found after the event I was planning to wear it for. I promptly returned to Macys package in original sealed garment bag. We’re now on day 12 of the return and Daily Haute has received this package but they haven’t initiated the return of my funds. While Macys has always been great, steer away from this vendor.
DIsappointment
This year has been hard for so many people, myself included, so spending money is not something I take lightly. I chose Macy’s because of a wonderful experience I had with a representative while visiting Indiana. That positive interaction made me decide to make all of my purchases online through Macy’s. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the delivery and packaging of my orders. I spent over $200 on makeup, and when it arrived, one of the red boxes was bent, the makeup was not secured, and products had spilled all over my floor. Some items were poorly packed, and one product was even balled up inside the box. Since I don’t have a Macy’s store near me, I decided to keep the items despite the disappointment. What finally made me write this review was a white suit I purchased for my husband. It arrived in a plastic bag without a suit cover and was extremely wrinkled. The packaging was not secure at all. The suit was expensive, and white is a very hard color to find this time of year. If I had access to a nearby store, I would have returned it immediately. I truly dislike complaining, especially knowing how many people are struggling right now, but the lack of care in packaging and delivery was very discouraging. I don’t expect anyone to reach out, and that’s okay—I just felt the need to share my experience.

Love this three piece suit, I purchased for my Hubby. He love it. Minimum alterations. Very satisfied. True size.
Not a Bad Suit, Just Not Premium
One big disappointment: the suit did not come with a garment bag. For the price paid, I expected a proper garment bag. Instead it arrived folded in a plastic bag. That feels like a missed standard. You can’t order the pants separately from the jacket size. So if you have broader shoulders but a smaller waist (as I do), you end up with mismatched sizing. In my case I’ll have to get the pants taken in—an extra cost that should have been avoidable or at least made easier. The fit is fair, but not as “slim” as I’ve seen from comparable suits I own. The cut felt looser than I expected for the “slim-fit” label. If you’re really after a very snug tailored look, this may not deliver. Given the cost, I’m reluctant to buy from this maker again. The limited color choice (white) was what drew me in, but the compromises mean I’d think twice next time. Overall verdict If you need an all-white three-piece suit and you find this one available, it will work, but you should go in with realistic expectations: you may need to spend additional money on tailoring, you won’t get a garment bag, and the slim-fit may feel more moderate than ultra-trim. For the price, I expected a little more polish on those fronts.
