18 days agoWorked Well Until the Blades Seized Up
This blender worked well making smoothies for a few years, until the blades stopped spinning and the blade assembly's gear began to strip the plastic socket attached to the motor. The only solution seems to be to buy a whole new jug, since the blade assembly doesn't seem to be repairable or individually replaceable. I'm hesitant to add a whole new plastic jug to a world that doesn't need more plastic, when it's only the blade assembly that needs to be fixed. I'm also worried I'll be doing this again in a few years.

1 month agoLove my Fresh & Furious Blender but…
I received my Breville Fresh & Furious Blender for Christmas and have used it twice. The issue is I cannot easily remove the lid. Is there something I am missing? My husband has helped me both times in removing lid- not that easy for him either. We use the ring that is on the lid and work it loose but not sure how long will last. Any suggestions?

We're sorry to hear of your experience. This should ease with use. Please make sure the jug isn't overfilled. This can cause a vacuum inside the jug, which can make the lid even harder to remove.

I purchased this a year ago and have been disappointed that the base of the jug has a leaky seal (or something) which caused a greasy spray around the base unit and the jug itself. At some point I assume the grease will run out and it will seize completely. Despite willing, the jug is unavailable to purchase by itself. While adoring the machine and all it does, I probably won't purchase it again. Cleaning grease which is supposed to be internal from the external parts, not very agreeable.

I bought this very excited, as I love the Breville brand and have the coffee machine and also the toaster oven (both I love). This blender however is not powerful enough, it struggles to even blend up frozen bananas, had to cut them up into very small pieces in order for it to blend a smoothie. I returned this blender, disappointed.

I really like the design of the blender jug, which is lightweight, and very easy to clean. I hope it stands up wear. The blender motor is very quick and not overly loud.

We had another manufacturer’s blender for a while, but it was small, noisy, and hard to clean. This one beats it by at least a mile, if not several more. The Fresh and Furious is a perfect size, and it seems like it’s going to hold up well to making two daily smoothies. No blender is quiet, but the noise level of this one is far below our old one. And it’s extremely easy to clean. We’ve had a Breville toaster oven for years that performs like a champ, so I’m expecting this blender to last, too. Very happy with this blender.

Great for blending, lid extremely difficult
This blender functions fantastically as a blender, however the lid design leaves something to be desired. It is impossible to remove after blending without the contents spewing everywhere. I have read dozens of reviews and tips and tricks in an attempt to figure out what I’m doing wrong with this lid. I have tried everything and unfortunately it seems that it is just exceptionally difficult to remove and therefore causes a mess with every use. The blender functionally is great, but don’t get this product if you value the outfit you’re wearing while using it because upon opening the blender it will fly all over you or whatever it’s facing.
