Great strainer top

Love the straining top. Easy to pour out water when cooking pasta. Still not sure this pan is for glass top stove.

Beautiful

The high sides prevent splatter and the base is definitely thick for even cooking. And what a great idea to provide adjustable venting in the lid and spouts for pouring. The only way to improve this lovely pot would be to make the handles heat proof.

Great size for a family sized batch of chili

I had the 5 quart version of the Dutch oven but had found it wasn’t always big enough for what I was making. So, I ordered the 7 quart one. I am delighted I did. It is big enough for anything I have been doing and it is so easy to work with. The clean up is easy; the strainer on the lid is very handy and the glass lid, just like on my 5 quart one is an easy way to glance at what I am cooking without having to lift the lid.

CALPHALON HARD-ANODIZED NON-STICK DUTCH OVEN

I was making wine braised short ribs for the first time and needed a dutch oven to use on the burner and then able to go into the oven. This worked out great. The dutch oven held up on top of the stove and then in the oven at high temperature. The meat came out delicious and tender and the dutch oven was easy to clean and looks like new.
