Super disappointing.
I was going to leave two stars, but honestly. Canon should refund everyone who purchased one of these in the last decade. Where to begin: 1. It doesn't have an HDMI out, or any video switching capabilities, it is purely a PTZ controller (yes, the same functionality you can do FOR FREE with a stream deck and the web interface on each camera. It really is an overprice and extremely limited joystick. 2. Huge disadvantage. There's a "trace" button. Basically, you can record a cameras movement and play it back, but when you do, it freezes the interface. You can't switch to another camera, you can't start planning your next move, you either cancel the "trace" playback to get back operation or wait until it finishes. What moron thought of this? I mean, it actually behaves like a PC from 1994. 3. To change cameras you have to touch a tiny section of the screen, half the time it doesn't register, but this means that you also have to look down every single time you want to change cameras or run a preset. 4. No other video output options. This doesn't even have an NDI passthru so you can toggle the cameras through the device. It doesn't even have an output if you want to view the device on a larger screen. It is a huge waste of money. You are better off buying another camera using VDMX and a stream deck with a playstation controller to do the same exact thing (but you'll get more functionality out of the playstation controller). This is a disappointment and canon should be ashamed.

Avoid at all costs
I purchased this controller about a year ago and I've had to send the controller in for repair 3 times. It's now not working again but I'm just fed up with this process all together. The unit looses power after about 10 uses and needs to be replaced. This prevents me from putting my CR-N300's in any situation in which it is the main camera. This item should not be sold. I wish I could get a refund or some credit because Canon is well aware of this issue.
