I've owned the Catit Pixi cat fountains since they first released in 2021, gone through two of these fountains so I feel like I can leave an accurate review of the product. It's cute, functional, maintaining it is fairly easy and it's easy to clean. The only con is that the pump does not fully disassemble, and it's the only reason I had to replace the fountain once and I had to replace the pump in the first fountain I owned once so in total we've gone through 2 fountains and 3 pumps. The inner propeller that propels the water upwards doesn't come off like it was stated in the manual and it gets gunked up even with regular cleaning to the point the propeller no longer spins or functions, requiring the pump or the whole fountain to be replaced. The only way I found to effectively un-gunk and clean the propeller is to jab it with a hard object to dislodge the dirt and rinse it out the best you can since you cant use soap to clean the pump either, however I would not recommend this method as you can damage the pump.

Love this fountain.
We've had this fountain now for over half a year and our cats love it. I have had no issues with the pump or water going bad. This of course requires maintenance by changing the water every other day, or more or less depending on the number of cats. We have 7. Every evening I check the water level, don't wait for the red light to come on, and change the water every other day. I did this change of water every day when we used a bowl of water. It works as described and our cats love it. 😸

Cleaned pump, now makes noise
Was good. But had to clean out the pump after a month of use, after putting back together, now makes a noise. Tried cleaning it again and making sure put back correctly. Still makes noise.

Look elsewhere
I don’t know where to begin with how much I detest this fountain. It’s an aggravation to clean. The filters leak a black substance into the water. A substance I can only presume is charcoal. And I hear a constant drip, drip, drip whenever the fountain is plugged in.

Great Fountain Terrible Motor
Crazy, purchased this and cat does drink out of it. Didnt even last 6months and the motor gave out. Was working unplugged it to do its regular cleaning and dint work again. But wait you can buy another for half of the cost of the fountain…

La pompe
Magnifique fontaine je l'adore. Parcontre la pompe est un problème. Elle ne dure pas longtemps. Ce serais bien qu'elle soit remplacer par une pompe qui ne brisera plus aussi rapidement.

Préparez-vous à ramasser la diarrhée de votre chat
J'ai acheté cet abreuvoir il y a 3 mois. Je voulais testé si mon chat voulait boire plus d'eau avec de l'eau courante. J'avais lu qu'il fallait faire un entretien serré, alors j'étais préparée! Je changeais les filtre aux 2 semaines (alors qu'il est indiqué de les changer au mois), je changeais l'eau toutes les semaines en faisant un nettoyage complet du bol et du filtre avec du savon et de l'eau bouillante, je frottais chaque coin avec une petite brosse. . . Ça ne me prenait pas beaucoup de temps, environ 15 minutes pour le nettoyage complet. Malgré tout ça, l'eau devenait visqueuse en moins de 24 h. Mon chat est tombé malade (belle grosse diarrhée sur plusieurs jours). J'ai commencé à lui mettre d'autres verres d'eau autour de l'appart, jusqu'à lui enlever complètement l'abreuvoir, mais ça a vraiment impacté son microbiote intestinal. J'attends le rdv chez le vet. Hâte de voir combien ça va me coûter.

Not for a Playful Cat
I bought this for my grand kitten. He knocked it over several times spilling the water everywhere. I had to adhere it to a cookie tray so he couldn’t knock it over. Then he started standing on it and knocking the top part off of the base so I gave up. Big waste of money.
