Heavy bottom
I needed to replace my omelet pan and saw these on the Calphalon webcite. This turned out to be an excellent set of skillets. They are non-stick and have a heavy bottom.

Does an awesome job on omelettes!!
These pans heat evenly and make great omelettes. I'm so happy I bought them. Wish I had done it years ago. Great for cooking plain eggs, too. Non-stick works real well. (Really, my only minor complaint is that Calphalon never does a good job of packing their shipments, so they had surface scratches around the edges. In fact, they should sell these things in a box, so they can't get scratched.)

Teflon Coating Wears Quickly
I purchased this set about 14 months ago. I have been a big fan of Calphalon over the years (we own both Teflon and Stainless sets) but this unison has gradually lost its nonstick surface despite the fact that we use a soft nylon pad only. One small pan also had a slightly raised surface in a square shape in the middle and also has seemed to wear on the square edges. Manufacturing defect maybe? I intend to speak to them about this.

"Burn-proof" omelettes
I make omelettes by "beating" the egg whites till stiff before adding yolks, salt/pepper, milk and optional sauted onions and tomatoes. Bottom won't burn before mixture appears cooked on top before flipping with these pans! Matching glass tops recommended.

frying pans
I really liked the 10 inch pan. I had purchased one previously. However, the coating came off and it would stick. It was easier ( and cheaper ) to just by the 2 pan set. I hope it lasts longer than the last one.

Best "non-stick" I've ever used!
I ordered these pans directly from Calphalon a few weeks ago, Unison Nonstick 2pc set. After using them several times I can say they are the slickest pans I've ever had the pleasure of using. There are no hot or cold spots, the heat transfer is even and "Slick" is the right term for the non-stick finish. Eggs, omelets, meats, gravies, whatever I cook in these pans actually scoot right out into the plate when you're done. Let the pans cool and they clean just a easy. If you want "Non-Stick", then the Calphalon Unison Slick is the way to go, can't be beat!!
