Perfect size

Unsafe & Unreliable Temp Settings: Hot/Hotter/Char

Purchased this back in November 2023 to replace an older 6qt Crockpot that served us well for many years. After several uses, I can honestly say that I do not trust the safety of it nor trust it wouldn't ruin my food without constant supervision, which ruins one of the main purposes of a slow cooker. This Crockpot doesn't know the meaning of "low heat". The warm setting simmers, the low setting boils then burns your food, and the high setting is a guaranteed to char whatever is touching the surface. It especially does not do well with meals that don't completely fill it up, and even then the higher than desired temps it cooks at (no matter the setting) put your food at risk of being cooked too fast and burning it. My old 6qt Crockpot worked great whether it was partially filled or full (it also had settings to choose if you were cooking at 2, 4, 6 quarts). The only good things this Crockpot has going for it is it being a stoneware insert, lockable lid, and an ability to program cook times. But all of that goes out the window if it can't safely and reliably cook your food without burning it or putting your house at risk. There have been several other reviews out there with similar experiences and concerns. I would avoid this model at all costs!

I bought one of these two months ago and it broke and wouldn’t heat up so I just had to buy another one if this one breaks I’ll be sending this one back

Terrible sous vide feature

Received this as a gift, was very excited to try the sous vide feature. What a letdown! Attempted to make the maple glazed carrots, preheated for over 1 1/2 hours, (even added more boiling water) and still could never get the water above 152°. Useless. As a regular crock pot works about as well as most of them, just don't get excited about the sous vide.
