16 days agoDCC-1200 don't buy
this is the second model DCC-1200 we purchased only because of the brand and ease of use...however the toggle on off switch doesn't seem to hold up after use..it will either shut off premature or not turn on at all ..I don't understand why it uses a toggle swith to operate..I am dissapointeed in the performance of this model and certainly to not reccomend this particular product..

Had this model coffee maker for years and loved it and its design. Traded for a Nespresso pod machine about 5 years ago thinking I was saving money on coffee. Nespresso coffee was never as good as the Cuisinart. Decided to purchase another Cuisinart with the design I still admired. My coffee is better and I’m extremely happy to come back.

bought at local farm store not realizing it had been on their shelf a long time, this model was a DCC-1200 (no suffix). Descaled a number of times once the clean light went on but the light would return to being on after each use. Would fill with 12 cups of water and it would make about 7-8 cups of coffee. The rest would just boil away. The cycle would take 20-30 minutes to complete. The scale to see how much water you put in was in the back of maker and very difficult to read and v ery unhandy as we have cupboards above our counter. Got somewhere around 10 years of use from 2 previous Cuisinarts but this one was Junk. Cuisinart replaced it and I requested a different model so we'll see how it works!

We been using my Mother's Crusinart coffee maker since she passed away 6 years ago. She had her Cruisinart Coffee Maker for at least 10+ years prior to her passing. It finally gave up the ghost after Christmas. Having such a good run with the Cruisinart brand, we decided to stay with them and purchase a new 12-cup Crusinart Coffee maker and we are plumb tickled with it. It makes the best coffee and performs flawlessly. What a great way to wake up to the smell of freshed brewed coffee.

I've had this coffee maker just at 2 years. We were looking at espresso makers and ordered one that worked in my space. (Very small home). We bought from another company for both quality and space considerations. During my research I read a lot of Cuisinart reviews. This coffee brewer stood out. I ordered it after my previous unit died while waiting for the espresso machine to arrive. I love this coffee maker! I'm picky. This brewer does everything it is supposed to do, simply, efficiently, and with great coffee, all in a small footprint! Buy one for yourself! You will be pleased. I liked it so much that I bought a convection/toaster/air fryer/grill for my cabin. Another great purchase!

So - even with the "gold-cone" coffee "filter", I need to use paper coffee filters??

Thanks for your comments. With this unit you will want to use either the gold tone filter OR paper filters but not both consecutively. Using both might cause the unit to back up and cause overflows.
