This coffee pot lasted me almost 8 years. I didn't use the filter basket I like buy the filters, of course that meant the filter could potentially fold and the coffee grinds would be in the bottom of the reservoir didn't happen enough to be an issue The coffee was and still is always super-hot. I'm purchasing a new one, I thought after 8 years I would get one for cheaper. Wishful thinking. On the list of coffee makers, this one the best. I can make anywhere from 1-12 cups if I have guest over. Few things occurred due to allowing guest in my home brew the coffee. Cracked water container -didn't stop the function. Gasket is no longer any good, yet the spring is in perfect condition. The gasket that prevents the coffee from leaving the reservoir before you press the bottom. This causes coffee to slowly drip out and into the overflow basket. The timer doesn't work, not sure when that happened, but I can set my coffee and water up the night before and wake up and press the button, not a deal breaker.

Very Disappointed
Maker has too many issues. Grinds in coffee, coffee grinds leak into machine on top of heater, very difficult to read the reservoir markers, can't even see the digital clock, cord is too short, after brewing the maker still sounds like it's brewing, can't see the coffee mug under the filler (actually need to lean under to see),

This is my fourth replacement of this model. Unfortunately, the cover is not fitting properly, and the clean mode keeps popping on every few days. I am not sure if they are making the product cheaper but this is not what we have come to expect

Keeps coffee super hot
This has been my favorite coffee maker for 15 years. I love that I don’t have to keep replacing glass carafes that I would always end up breaking. Also, this machine will keep your coffee piping hot. The downside is I’m currently on my third machine because the removable water tank inevitably begins to leak or the spigot where the coffee dispenses will leak coffee.

Not What They Used To Be...
I have had a couple of these over the years. First one I bought from a yard sale and it was fabulous and lasted over ten years! Bought a new one the second time around and it lasted almost as long! Bought the 3rd brand new from Macy's and right out of the box the unit had trouble. It wouldn't sit level on the counter and therefore leaked. Returned it for another one -- and it leaks even worse! Ugh. Makes great coffee BUT these last two units are extremely loud when they perk! They sputter, cough, chug and create so much noise and steam everywhere. Not nice while someone else in the house is still asleep and it sounds like you are making popcorn!!!! I will be returning this one as well. Disappointed in Cuisinart. Loved them but not anymore.
