Microwave Steamer

It is much larger than I "thought" but it is great. I use it for vegetables only. I bought two as I will give one as a gift.

Plastic device with no instrctions

I think it will work well once I figure out the specifics. I ordered this three times, requesting that instructions and recipe pamphlet be sent. All three arrived without it. I find it hard to give as a gift with no instructions. There is a vent on top that needs to be activated but no idea of when to use it. Just bad or inattentive service.

Works

This microwave steamer seems to work well, which surprised me, as another steamer I bought previously microwaved the vegetables more than it steamed. It does take some experimenting with cooking time to get it just right with each type of food. One additional bonus (actually, two) is that steamer basket doubles as a medium-sized colander and the bowl can be used as a serving bowl for chips and other snacks.
