First machine I received had yellow stains on the plastic...after running it for a few minutes it s made a horrible extremely loud sound that could be heard throughout our entire home! Returned it for another one, second machine made one bucket of ice then the same horrible sound as the first! And yes all instructions were followed and the machine plenty of water. Very disappointing, and not well made!!

Disappointing for the price point
I purchased this nugget ice machine after our existing Frigidair gallery one died. The Cuisinart brand has been a favorite of go l mine for a while and the reviews seemed good. However you should know that this machine only makes ice and doesn't store it, you have to move it over to the freezer for storage where it freeze ina. Giant block defeating the purpose entirely. This was basically a downgrade at a higher price point. If i wasn't hosting Thanksgiving i would have sent it back. All in all, really disappointing.

Makes Nugget Ice Fast!
This Cuisinart Nugget Ice Cube Maker packs a big punch in a small size not taking up lots of valuable counter space I have. Setup was super easy and It was quick to start making that classic nugget ice once setup. I also loved that they included the basket and scoop that made it easier for me to add ice to my favorite drinks.

Makes ice so quickly!
This ice is perfect! The machine is kind of loud, but not too bad. The ice is made very quickly and fills the drawer with one fill of the tank. The only problem is that you either have to use the ice immediately or store it in a container in the freezer because the ice drawer is plastic and the ice begins to melt almost immediately so it gets all clumped up. Great for parties when you need ice fast!

Loud, limited capacity, melty ice
I was sent this Cuisinart “Nugget Ice” maker in exchange for my honest opinion. Overall, I can’t see plugging in this additional appliance to waste space and energy just so that it can make a bunch of noise and generate a few cups worth of ice over the course of a few hours. The ice also melts very quickly in the bottom canister, so you wind up with a mix of small cubes sitting in water pretty quickly. While I do not have an automatic ice maker in my freezer, it is far more efficient for me just to freeze a tray or two of cubes, or go out and buy a bag of ice, rather than run this silly thing. At first, I thought it would be helpful when entertaining, for example if hosting guests or family for a party — but this thing would be absolutely ridiculous at a party, and there’s no way it would ever keep up with demand for cold beverages. Nice concept in theory, but ultimately not very practical in action.

Perfect nugget ice!
If you love nugget ice, then this is amazing! It's lightning fast! I think it's supposed to make 36 lbs in 24 hours, but as everyone knows, the more important thing is how quickly it gets you some ice to use. I would say within the first 3-5 minutes I had enough ice to use for a drink. The ice is perfect consistency. They're little nuggets that are fun to chew and cool down drinks quickly. There is also an auto cleaning function as well. It lets you know when to add water and when the ice making capacity is complete. My only gripe is that if you forget to take out the ice, it starts melting all over the place which gets annoying to clean up. Other than that though, I am super impressed with this Cuisinart nugget ice maker.

We love it
This is a kitchen appliance I didn't know we needed. My family loves it. Setting it up is very easy and relatively quick. Operating it is very simple too. All you do is remove the lid on top to the max fill line and press the button. And just like that you have ice not long after. The drawer is very easy to maneuver too and I love that a scoop is included. We were originally going to use it in the bar area of our basement but our toddler loves it so much it's found a permanent home in the kitchen. I will say that the machine is a bit noisy and takes some getting used to but that's my only complaint. The ice is perfect every time -- just like at a restaurant. Overall, we are very happy with this ice maker and would highly recommend it to others.

Modern look with great features
I think this ice maker is such a cool idea and I really like the design it has. It looks very sleek on the counter and doesn’t take up much space. The drawer does slide out smoothly and it holds a good amount of ice. I do love that it has a light inside so you can see the ice even if you are grabbing a drink at night. The top fill makes it super simple to add water and the back cap makes draining it easy. It also has a self clean function which is so useful. I think I just got unlucky with my unit because the pump didn’t seem to work but all the features are spot on and the concept is awesome. I think this unit is a great addition for cold drinks and hosting.
