The cordless Dyson Gen5outsize has the suction power of a corded vacuum. It has HEPA filtration for our deepest, most hygienic clean. It's engineered with the larger size, power, intelligence, and additional run time to deep clean larger spaces. It has a 25% wider cleaner head and 150% larger bin compared to the Dyson Gen5detect, as well as twice the run time. The Dyson Gen5outsize covers more floor with each pass and allows for more cleaning between bin emptying and charges. It intelligently optimizes suction power based on floor type and debris picked up. The LCD screen indicates when to keep cleaning an area and when to move on. The Fluffy Optic cleaner head reveals invisible dust on hard floors. The extra wide de-tangling Digital Motorbar XL cleaner head deep cleans carpets and hard floors without tangles. Its versatile cordless format transforms into a handheld vacuum with one click, and the wand detaches to reveal a ready-to-go tool for continuous cleaning.

VERY HAPPY

Having both a smaller stick vacuum and a "drag-along" (both Dysons) I am very pleased with the Gen5detect. The easy switch from the long shaft to the short shaft is Great. Saves carrying around an extra attachment. The info feedback on particle size is handy and somewhat fascinating. Battery charge holds long enough for a standard house - unless you are fully catpeted. Easy to clean and maneuver. Will be interested in the longevity of the filters. Overall very pleased with the machine.

Dyson Gen5detect™ Complete vacuum

Good on wooden floors but constantly stalls on the carpet. Stopped working altogether after a month and had to take back to Dyson. Was fixed without being told what the issue was. I've had dysons for years but this one is a bit of a lemon

Dry pleased with the new Dyson. Longer battery so that I can do the whole house in one go. It is heavier but has larger dust collection receptacle.

Wrong colour brush bar’s

Love the gen 5 but very disappointed that the brush bar’s are not the rich copper colour. Just doesn’t look right with the purple brush bar’s in it 😞
