Measurements not accurate chairs are nice

Not sure how to rate them. The chairs are good, but the dimensions listed are incorrect. We are trying to fit them to a high top table and based on the dimensions listed we thought they would work, but no they are too high. If the seat height is listed as 27.75", why do they measure measure 30"?
