separated and smelly

I have been purchasing Estee Lauder for many years but was very disappointed with this one. When I opened the jar, the top was a pool of oil and the "cream" looked like little curds of curdled milk. Even after shaking it up stirring it for several minutes it is still lumpy and slimy / oily feeling. (and it smells "unpleasant") Not sure what happened here, but yuck.

Cottage Cheese Look

The moisturizer was all separated and looks like cottage cheese. Surely it is out of date. I'm a shut in, so I didn't return it, but I should have. Extremely disappointed in Estee Lauder and Macy's for shipping obviously outdated product.
