I haven’t figured out all

I haven’t figured out all the bits yet, as my first espresso machine. but so far, I really like it. I like the aesthetic, I like how easy it is to use. There are a couple of things that are not obvious UX choices — like the temperature control for the steaming — but by and large I’m really enjoyihng it.

The ease of use, especially for someone who has only ever done pour over coffee, is incredible. Dialing in your shot takes some work, but once it's there, you're on autopilot. Shout out to the new Opus2 as well.

I love the product and

I love the product and really have no complaints! It would be great though if the machine came with a quick start guide and overview of all settings and functions. I bought this equipment for the brew guidance feature, but it has taken a bit of time and a lot digging online to figure out how to best use this machine and its features. My machine needed a software update and many of the preprogrammed settings modified before I could use it properly.

Overall the experience is good,

Overall the experience is good, but I've been surprised and disappointed about the amount of plastic inside and outside of the machine. I was very much on the edge about returning it for this reason. I'm leaning toward keeping it, but I wouldn't say I'm thrilled with it - and I wouldn't recommend it. I was alarmed that one of the pieces meant to connect to the bottom of the portafilter appeared to be pure black petroleum based plastic. I think this shows questionable judgment on part of Fellow. I will think twice about ordering machinery from Fellow again, but I'd consider something (even at a higher price) with significantly higher quality materials. In particular, I'd appreciate some sort of trade-up program, where I could trade in my current fellow machine for a significant discount on the upgraded model 2 (assuming model 2 is made of higher quality material)

The Machine You Need

Ive had my Series 1 for 6 months now and ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! its the perfect machine for someone who wants high end coffee without the complexity and cost. 10/10 recommend
