}Making a grand statement the Filigree Series offers lacey ornamental openwork composed of intertwined wire threads of brass. Each panel is hand-soldered over the glass panel to add dimensional beauty to each shade.
Really pretty, but sketchy craftsmanship
Took awhile to arrive, but surmise that others were also taken by form and color so that orders were backed up. Fits nicely in the back foyer and complements ambience of our100+years-old house, but poor design made mounting complicated: wall socket holds two bulbs horizontally, one going left & the other right. Problem was that one of two long screws coming out from frame to support the shade lay in direct path of the light bulb, so that I had to hack saw an inch or so off the length of that screw. In addition, metal frame of shade is not completely plumb, so it sits off the wall maybe 1/4" in places; but it's not so obvious that anyone but the installer is probably going to notice. Kinda incongruous that something so lovely (4 1/2 stars) is deficient in craftsmanship.(2 stars). But then in life, we will often tolerate a lack of character in order to be with someone physically attractive
