The quality has definitely declined. I purchased this about 6 months ago and the pieces felt great. The triple weight was nice, finish was clean and overall a very nice set. I picked up a second one so my child could use the first in tournaments. The pieces from the second set are not nearly as good from a quality control perspective. Half of the weights are rattling around inside right out of the box. They are not as heavy as the original pieces and the plastic feels cheaper with more flash at the parting lines.
