Love the Watch!
I have been pleasantly surprised by this watch. I wore a 935 for years primarily for running and hiking and really appreciate all the upgrades. As a female I was worried about the size but as soon as I put it on it wasn't really that much different than the 935. I wear it above my wrist bone and I like the oversized face. The screen and data are so easy to view now - vibrant screen - no more dim screens and hard to see numbers. I liked the watch immediately and I usually take awhile to warm up to new things. It helps that buttons and menus are pretty much the same so it was easy transition. I use the Runna app and my workouts pop up on my watch under workouts so easy to launch and track my run. I also get my run data served up without having to dig thru menus. I am loving the morning wake up screen that gives me the low down on how I slept, the weather etc. I am now experimenting with navigation features and the mapping is much easier to follow while hiking. Without a subscription to All Trails manual uploading map files via websites is the only choice and a hassle fyi. Something you would want to do ahead of time not at the trail head :). I just want to send a map to Garmin in as few steps as possible. All in all a solid upgrade from the 935 and just the right amount of features for what I do.

more features than my old 935
I love my Garmin 965, larger face than my old 935, and more functionality such as swimming heart rate tracking. More runners functionality than 935.

Very intuitive
I have yet to figure out all the features, but what I have figured out so far is fantastic. I like the map function and I like the ergonomics of the buttons. Good on you, Garmin. Same intuitiveness of your avionics equipment carries over to athletic watches.

Missed the mark
I miss my old watch. It did math better than the 965. Unable to get this watch to alert on .62 miles (1K) during a scheduled workout run. My old Garmin could. It only alerts on 1 Mile, it's a fail for me on this aspect. Triathlon default setting is a long press and hold to change to the next leg. this is a departure from all previous watch versions where it was just a short press to change. I was not aware of the new default (I had to change) and this caused me to not correctly track many of my first Triathlons with this watch. Not Happy. The display is nice. Unable to see where I am in a zone on meter because there is a tiny line that is hard to distinguish where that line is when running.

Overall great watch
I have had my Forerunner 965 watch for three years. Overall, it has been a great watch. I am an active cyclist, trail runner and strength enthusiast and for those activities it has been a great watch. It syncs well with the TrainingPeaks app, which is nice if you are working with a coach. It has so many features and you can tailer it the way you want it, which it nice. It is a little complicated to set up, but you can YouTube it and there are many videos that will walk you through the set up, which is super nice. The main thing I do love about the watch is the battery life. After three years it doesn't last as long (that's expected) but I can still get three days without charging it. And, it will last my entire 8 hour century ride or 6 hour trail run, which is the main reason I switched to this watch. I also like the fact that I don't have to do anything when I get in water. There is no water activation button, etc., I can just start swimming and get out and it functions as normal. My only complaint is that after 2 years, I did notice the decline in functionality, which I did not expect so soon. The battery power saver will randomly turn on, it will buzz randomly for the enable battery, there are times it will not sync my workout, I will have to forget the device so it can re-connect to my phone periodically, the ghost touches are real! These are not huge issues, but very annoying. The face did crack easily the first year and I have no idea how it happened as I don't recall a fall or hitting it hard on something. So, I just didn't expect that without a big hit. I had the Apple watch prior and used that for my triathlon training and hit that thing many times in the concrete pools and it never once cracked. Overall, love the watch. And, I personally love the typical watch round circle style.

Sleep and steps
Excellent watch. Had a 955 Solar that was acting up. Garmin replaced it with this. Better looking screen. Does everything I need. Thanks
