Good watch, one of the best “values” currently

I came from an Epix Pro Gen 2 and the updates are noticeable. The screen is much more vibrant, way brighter and it actually has a good enough touchscreen that I use it from time to time. It doesn’t look very rugged (none of the forerunner watches do) and the stock watch faces kinda suck. The UI still leaves a lot to be desired as it is laggy (cause Garmin re-uses CPUs from 2020). We’ll see how long Garmin supports this watch before dropping it

Accurate metrics!

I bought this watch about 2 weeks ago and so far the watch has performed quite well. The battery seems to last a bit less than the 965 but the metrics have been good

Lame product, sick of your bugs and pricing.

Touchlock on but off in settings. Had that problem with enduro 3 also. You love to charge crasy ammount of cash, but dont know how to fix bugs in expencive watches. My next watch will not be garmin praise the lord. Had problems with instinct 3 also- making intervals and watch going off all the time. You gave us update but problem is here again. Had faulty button on epix pro. Bunch of lags on all watches. You are crasy with pricing. Amazfit is catching you, coros also, and I am glad for that. 970 will be better in years, but, you will abandone it than, so... no good. Had bunch of problems with your watches. You selling this problems for people who dont even run, just wearing them for walks and showing off. For serious athlete I dont want to deal with your bugs all the time.

Farewell other watches!

I got tired of constantly charging my other smartwatch after 2-3 hours of exercise! Take a guess which one it was! First thing about Forerunner 970 is that even with Face on all time charge lasts 5-6 days! Second thing is very bright and easy to read Amoled screen. Like Apple watch you can program it either through app or directly through watch interface. It take a bit of time to get use to it ( I used Apple watch before), but once you learn how to program and use it it's a joy to have. It's a must for anybody serious about fitness. One small issue I couldn't address so far is subpar integration with Dexcom CGM ( I am a diabetic), hopefully Garmin and Dexcom will find some solution for that soon.

Watch of a lifetime

After 9 years my 920XT died. The Forerunner 970 is incredible. Still learning all the features. Used it playing tennis. The continuous heart rate feature is outstanding. Great for monitoring how quickly the heart rate recovers. The sleep coach is another strong feature.

Best switch from Apple to Garmin

I loved my Ultra 2 and I first I wasn’t too sure if I was going to like switching to Garmin, but it was the best decision! I’m in love with my Garmin 🫶🏽
