Right out of the box, this iron was very difficult to straighten and curl with. It did not run smoothly at all through my hair, though my hair is quite smooth and soft. I tried cleaning the plates, but that didn't do anything. GHD also never responded to my inquiry on the Chronos trade-in.

Works amazing!
I was so surprised when I first turned this on. And I heard the start up sound. And it immediately got hot. I was not expecting it to be hot within seconds. And it worked great! We have thick curly hair. And this did the job perfectly and quick!

The ghd Chronos Styler 1 inch flat iron is the best styling tool on the market. . I have never seen a tool heat up as fast as this Flat iron heats up. In less than a I was able to start styling my hair. That makes getting ready quick and easy. I absolutely love that they made the cord swivel so it is easier to style your hair and the cord will not tangle up. The ghd Chronos Styler straightened/styled my hair in seconds. I didn’t have to straighten any part of my hair more than once. The quality of this flat Iron is amazing and it is definitely worth every penny. You ca tell they put in time and effort to make a high quality product that will actually last you. I love how this styling tool made my hair feel silky smooth. This flat iron makes my hair feel like silk and it stayed tangle free all day. This flat iron left my hair looking shinny and feeling like silk. I didn’t have to even brush my hair half the day and I could still run my finger through my hair with no tangles. The ghd Chronos Styler is super quite except when it comes to the power button. The power button plays a little melody that lets you know you have turned the flat iron on or off. The ghd Chronos Styler 1 inch flat iron is a very well made flat iron that will actually last you. A major bonus when it comes to this flat iron is it has never burned my hair. I have never smelled burned hair or seen damage done to my hair from using this amazing flat iron. Not as good as I expected
Honestly, I was a little disappointed in this product. Don’t get me wrong, the brand is great, but the suggested retail for this straightener is way too high for what it does. First off there’s no heat control which I do not like so it’s just one straight setting you can’t adjust it higher or lower. Second, the part where you would hold it with your hand is very slippery. I wish that there was possibly like a rubber grip or something to help you hold it better because it does slip out of your hands. It makes a noise when you turn it on and off sounds like a spaceship, which is kind of cool. I do love how it has the automatic shut off because that’s great since so many of us always forget if we shut our appliances off or not. They did the job. I always make sure I use the heat protectant with any kind of heat products, so my hair does have that protection. My hair is not super curly. It is a finer texture. I do have a lot of of it, and it is frizzy and unmanageable most days. I would not purchase this for the price. I think it’s way too expensive. I am storing mine in the box in a drawer for right now it does come with a little sleeve that would keep the flat iron closed, which is nice. It makes for a little bit easier storage.. I just thought it was going to be much better than it was.

It’s gives silkkyyyyy silk press. It’s easy to use, love the finish it leaves on my hair and I didn’t have any grimmy burnt build up. Plus my hair reverted without heat damage.

Smart technology applied to your hair
I thought I had a great flat iron until I was introduced to this marvel of a tool! It is light and easy to maneuver because the cord is long and flexible, it twist with you as you move around your hand. The iron doesn’t have a temperature switch but it is motion responsive and it adapts to your hand movement and hair needs. I love that it never leaves my hair extremely hot like my titanium iron does. Its started with one single button and in less than 3 seconds it beeps and it’s ready to use. The plates run smoothly even with heat protection and dry shampoo on my hair. It comes with a short silicone sleeve to protect the top end. As you can tell from my pictures it smoothed and straightened even my most rebellious gray hairs in a matter of a few slides. My hair is left straight yet with body, shiny, smooth and soft. This is going to be my go-to tool during my gray hair growing journey since it helps me avoid frying my and abusing heat as I learn to take care of my grays.

Great!
My experience with this hair straightener has been wonderful! The first thing that surprised me was how quickly it warms up! A few seconds and you can hear the beep thats is ready to use!! As for its functionality, it does smooth the hair and leave it beautiful; but if they have a lot of hair, it does take a long time. As for the design, it is the perfect size, it does not feel heavy and its design is perfect to be able to use it without the hands hurting. The material feels of good quality..
