[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have used a variety of hubs and this has been a household favorite. The Google was new for us so we had to learn how to use it. The set up was easy. The white is a nice accent and addition to the room.

Good deal
Its a little slow to review my wifi cameras, and difficult to get them to come on when requesting. The alarm options is a little difficult to maneuver. I think it could be a little better user friendly. The sound audio is good for what it is, nothing amazing like the google nest audio speaker, but its clear at high volume. I like some of the options it has to play a video of the latest news and that it automatically adjust its lighting to its surroundings, so at night its never bright and it goes into sleeping mode when the lights are out.

liked my old nest hub better
Screen is too full of too many icons on the new model

Nest Hub
I thought it allowed video calls so I was disappointed because that was the main reason I got this. The Nest Hub Max is the correct option for reciprocal video calls. Otherwise, it has a nice picture and is super easy to set up and use.

Probably works but I can't figure out how to make it work!
I have tried at least 6 times and my wife has tried at least 3 times to complete the setup for this "thing". We have been unsuccessful even though we have used directions provided by Google, on-line forums and who knows what else. Why must it be so difficult? I am a retired IT specialist and understand technical things but this is AWFUL.

Better than expected
I got the Google home on a whim because I wanted a better night stand interface to control the lights and see the weather report. As expected it was easy to set up but what was unexpected was how simple and intuitive the interface was. I appreciate it the default dashboard interface being incredibly simple.
