Too thick and heavy and they do not hang right

I prefer large hoop earrings but these look just a little too big overall -- it's not the hoop size itself, but the extra thickness, bulkiness, and weight that is bothersome. Could be just me, but the way they hang is not flattering to my face. They are OK if you just want to keep something on your ears around the house but I would not wear these for any type of special occasion.

They were much larger than I thought they would be. It said medium hoops, but they were too large.
