Plastic off gassing

I bought this for my Mother’s assisted living apartment so I could have coffee when I visit. It’s been about 9 months and I’ve probably used it 30 times. Each time it has a burnt plastic smell and the coffee has an aroma and taste of the same. I hoped that with time the problem would cease, unfortunately it hasn’t. Even with cleaning multiple times with vinegar. I’ve gone back to using a French press when visiting as the smell and taste of burning plastic is still too strong.

Wanted to love

I have purchased this coffee maker bc I truly love it. It’s convenient, compact, makes great coffee but after a couple months the coffee starts to spill on the side while it’s brewing causing a mess on the counter. Same thing with all three. Do I recommend? Well I don’t know cz even though it breaks down after a few months I still love this coffee maker but it’s very upsetting that it doesn’t last very long. I wish I had recorded a video before getting on here
