Perfect duvet

Excellent Down Comforter at a Good Value

I bought this to replace a feather comforter that didn’t last (leaking feathers and just not comfy), which replaced a previous Hotel Collection comforter I had had for many years and given away to a friend. I decided to come back to the Hotel Collection for this one since it was available at a great price on sale, and I don’t regret it for one moment. The duvet is a perfect weight and fill for me and I find it to be very comfortable, maintaining a neutral cozy temperature. It is definitely warm enough but not hot at all and regulates well (vs retaining too much heat) - much better than my previous comforter that was also a medium weight. I have used on both very cold and warm winter nights and feel it will be perfect for my needs throughout the year. The weight for me is perfect, providing some heft for a cozy feel but not feeling overweight or “heavy” in the least bit. This time I also opted to go with the king size for use on a queen bed with deeper mattress and works perfectly. I feel the extra drape over the size makes it even more comfortable and there is plenty for two to sleep comfortably under one duvet. For me the overall durability and quality of the build is excellent and I think it will last a very long time like my original Hotel Collection duvet did - definitely better quality than the duvet it is replacing. The loft is perfect too and the cover seems as though it will minimize any down leakage. I do want to say that when the comforter first arrived it seemed really thin and I thought I would not like it. This is just due to packing and shipping. Within a few hours it started to expand and a week or two in is perfect now. This is something others have commented on and definitely is not an issue. I did also place it in the dryer on a down fluff setting and that sped up the expansion/fluffing too. Overall I am pleasantly surprised by the product and very happy with my purchase. I would definitely recommend this comforter to others as a great all-around down duvet for a reasonable price (especially if you can snag it on sale)!

Great Product and Weight

I had an old down comforter that came from another home goods store and the comforter had lost a lot of feathers and loft. This comforter from Macy’s is just the right weight and no offensive odor you can get with down comforters. Love that there are corner tabs on the comforter to stay in pace inside my duvet cover.

Long overdue upgrade

If you’re still using the duvet insert that was on your registry circa 2008, you need to upgrade to this one immediately. So lofty and warm, looks beautiful too.
