Sheds fuzz and discolors

In the first week our gray towels started getting peachy bleached spots from my face wash or toothpaste. They also shed so much fuzz there’s constantly fuzz in my eyes, mouth, hairbrush… I didn’t realize they’re 35% modal which might be the problem.
