Love it!

I have wanted a stand mixer for years and finally got one. I am loving it! It works like a dream and is a lot quieter than I expected. Wish I hadn't waited so long to get one.

Good mixer. But I miss my 1980 Kitchen Aid

Have had this mixer about 2 months. Its ok. Doesn't seem to be as heavy or as tough as my first one that I got in early 80s. That one mixed a lot of food over the years. Cookies, Pie fillings, bread dough, etc. Meat grinder made a lot of bologna salad, chicken salad, ground nuts, etc. It finally started making grinding noises inside the head. Figured gears were giving out. Still have it in box that this one came out of. The old one was Almond in color. This one is Black. Shows every speck of flour that is spilled. Only real complaint. Did purchase the spring separately where the beater connects to the spinning head. Kitchen Aid should not have omitted that spring with their mixers. Cost can't be that bad. Not having the spring on makes the mixing unstable.

Happy it's still the best

After having a 5 quart tilt-head stand mixer for 35 years I would only buy a new Kitchen Aid stand mixer. I went to the 4.5 because it was a little lighter in weight. The mixer is very good, a bit noiser. Your new Flex paddle is excellent, it scraps the bowel much better. You don't need to stop the machine and scap down the sides of the bowl.

Great for sourdough
