Awful smell to tea kettle

I purchased this tea kettle because I was looking for a non-toxic stainless steel tea kettle for my morning tea. The tea kettle arrived and I love the design and features, however, it has an awful chemical smell on the inside that remained even after hand washing it multiple times. I'm so disappointed because I threw the box away and couldn't return it, now I'm stuck with a tea kettle I refuse to use due to the awful smell.

Very nice kettle for the price

I like this kettle. It boils fast and makes enough noise to hear from upstairs. I was hoping it was fully clad, and it looked that way in the photos, hence the four stars instead of five. It still has a nice heft and seems durable.

Smells but beautiful

Still trying to get the manufacturing smell out, lots of washing, boiling with vinegar, a trip through the dishwasher and it’s slowly dissipating. I kept it because 1. I’m hopeful that I will remove the scent, 2. it’s strictly metal so no chipping paint down the road, and 3. it’s a beautifully designed, heavy kettle that should last my lifetime.

Came slightly dirty as if previously returned

Was excited for this due to the reviews but when it came it looked slightly dirty and some of the packaging parts weren’t in their proper place (e.g., “Remove before use” tab was at the bottom of unsealed bag it was in), as if previously returned. Especially poor customer experience as I paid full price for this.
