Not twist off backs

I have been wanting a pair of heart stud earrings for a very long time. So, when I saw the deal on these I could not pass them up. The stone is a very pretty color & the heart is large (it is 5.5 ct after all). I like the little heart detail in the setting around the stone. However, the posts are very thin & fragile. One of mine came slightly bent. It took me forever to get the back off before I realized they aren’t twist off backs. Which slightly scares me from the size of stone alone. I’ve only had studs with twist off backs, maybe because they are diamonds & these aren’t. I don’t think it’s enough of a reason to return them. But I will wear them cautiously.
