Perfect Kettle

Perfect kettle. Love the weight to it. Did not realize it was two tone when I ordered, but love the color.

Not recommended

The quality of this kettle is disappointing! When the water boils, it splashes terribly when you pour it, and the hot water splashes onto you, burning you! I had another one that was cheaper and better, and I never had a problem with it splashing when pouring the hot water. It's a shame that Le Creuset has a design flaw in this product; it's pretty, but it's only good for decoration, because the smaller one doesn't have this problem.

Tea Kettle

I bought this item at Macys five years ago. I loved it but the inside has lots of rust. I don’t think I’ll buy another to replace it very disappointing, especially for the exorbitant price.

Lid very tight

Had this before and liked it. But this time the lid seemed very tight and I don't remember the tea kettle being so heavy. That said I decided to keep it because it's very attractive, love the blue color....I just don't put the lid on too tightly and water comes to a boil just fine....hold the lid while pouring.

Black soot developed inside.

I would have selected a 0 star rating if I could. I bought this kettle several years ago. It's really beautiful and works well. I used it most evenings for boiling water for tea. To clean it, I would rinse the inside with hot soapy water and rinse well. One day I used a dish rag in it and the rag was covered in black soot. I had no idea how long it had been that way. The water was alway clear coming out. I threw the kettle in the trash. I recently took a heavy metals test and nickel showed up really high so I'm thinking this may have been the reason.

Le Great Kettle

The Le Creuset Kettle is both attractive and very functional with good weight to absorb heat. If you want to boil water this is the kettle to use!
