Perfect Hood

I've been searching for a winter coat with a hood that fits normal. Most coats are built to wear with a helmet while on the slopes. Although I used to shred, those days are over.

Terrific coat

The Oslo Down jacket is exactly what I was looking for and then some. Living at 7,500 feet in the Rockies, wind protection is a big deal. This coat does a great job. It’s toasty warm and comfortable, very well made. I’m 5’10” and 165 and the medium size fits nicely. Having a way to tighten cuffs would be a nice add on. As a bonus the coat arrived 3 days earlier than expected, which was wonderful as temps dropped to single digits and our husky dog Juno was eager to get outside. And the green color is cool and higher viz than black would be Highly recommend this jacket. When it’s really cold just add a layer and it’s good to go.

Beautiful but Flawed

Beautiful, with a non-starter design flaw: The hood opening is much too small..if you zip up the parka all the way, the hood becomes way too tight around your neck. Absolutely beautiful garment otherwise, but I wish the designers had realized this. I would buy it again if this got addressed, but otherwise it's a no go.

Great jacket...but....

I really wanted it to work...it's a GREAT jacket...except for the sleeves. It's lightweight and warm and has tons of features, but the sleeves are too long and there's no elastic or cinches, which is how sleeves are managed. Unless you are only wearing with gloves, it's unworkable. Sorry...really was looking forward to keeping it.

Very warm and waterproof, but watch the fit

I purchased this jacket in a size Medium. Overall, it’s an incredibly warm piece and the GORE-TEX performs exactly as expected in the rain—it keeps you perfectly dry. However, there are two small design issues to note. First, the sleeves feel a bit long on the hands. Second, the bottom part of the collar can be a bit uncomfortable; it tends to stick up into your face quite often when zipped up. If you can get past those minor fit quirks, it’s a solid, high-quality winter jacket.
