Needed an extra set of everyday dishes. These were not available in-store so I purchased online. Therefore I could not tell that the color is warm white when I prefer a bright white. If I would have seen them in-store, I would have kept looking for the right color of white. Keep the color in mind if that is an issue for you. Otherwise they are nice and reasonably priced.
Great for family gathering
I used these instead of flimsy disposable plates at a family gathering since the sale price made them quite affordable. They are thicker than fine China but not too heavy or clunky. I think the neutral color will make them very versatile for both every day and future family gatherings.
Simple yet classic
Simple white plates, very classic look. Great for everyday use. Great value too.
Sealed New Defective Stock?
I ordered this set and upon opening, the plates, though they were sealed in their cardboard boxes appeared to hear been used for a meal, lghtly rinsed and then placed into the packing materials and boxed up. There were smears of some kind left on a number of the plates and also found that the first 4 of 8 plates not only had this soiled looking film on them and drip marks containing some unknown residue, but also had dimples, dents and and other very visible defects to the glaze and porcelain including some deep scratches that appeared to be machine made on the last plate I inspected before packing everything up again for an exchange.. It appeared that the box of plates I received was intended to be set aside as a defective goods box. I'll be exchanging them for some that are not defective since they world otherwise be nice dishes perfect for everyday and holiday use. I am disappointed to have received a box of defective dishes and will have to take my time that to go to the store and resolve this and hopefully get an exchange of suitable new, unblemished dishes that I should have received to begin with. Fortunately I didn't need these for Thanksgiving dinner, because I would have been at a loss.
Sturdy, Simple look but yet Classy!
I will be using these for the upcoming holidays! GREAT VALUE.....You can't go wrong!
