Love this pot!

This cast iron pot is awesome. I love clams and mussels so this pot is perfect! My clams and mussels came out delicious. This pot is small but heavy and easy to clean.

Great mussel pot

I was very excited to try out my new Cast Iron Mussel Pot by Outset, and I am happy I tried. This cast iron pot is perfect in size for 1-2 pounds of mussels. It is very heavy in weight( just as any other cast iron pot or pan) and comes pre-seasoned. However, I would advise you to season it again before your first use( recommended with any new cast iron pot). I use Avacado oil, and usually, it works excellent for reinforcing non-stick properties. The lid of this pot can be used as a bowl for discharged shells or to hold other ingredients. I am not a fan of the wooden knob on the lid's top ( not very comfortable) as well as the strainer part inside of the pot. The capacity of this pot is only 2 quart, but it looks bigger in the pictures. The pot is very easy to wash; just use dish soap and water. The mussels come out amazing, and you can taste a difference in the flavor vs. cooked in a regular pan.

Great addtion to my cast iron collection

A good seafood pot can be hard to find. This one not only is a great tool but is cast iron making it a favorite in our house. I have already bought a few as gifts

The best

Oh my God This is one of the most wonderful things I have obtained, it is quite heavy, but the flavor in its shells is unique, let me tell you that I have prepared two servings of salmon and I am fascinated with its result, it is the best of the best , I love her more every day after each dish. I highly recommend.
