Avoiding ragged edges when removing the lid from an open can is tricky. By cutting below the edge on the side of the can, the OXO Good Grips smooth edge can opener leaves no metal behind. You can even replace the lid for smart storage. The side-wind knob is easy to turn and has a comfortable non-slip grip. The hardened stainless steel cutting wheel doesn't come into contact with the can's contents, while built-in pliers allow for touch-free lid removal. Hand wash with soap and water.

Does not open anything.

bought this to replace old can opener. we were able to open one can, but that's it. it was during the blizzard and we were going to make soup...forget it.

Best can opener I say

This new design opener is so easy to use. Opens can from the top not from the side edge like older models. My wife's hands are getting weaker, but this opener is so easy to use that she can open cans in a flash. We love it.

Disappointing

I tried to use it but it was so hard to turn that I had to ask my husband to finish opening the can. My last can opener of this style was extremely easy to turn which is why I looked for another when it wore out. Guess I'll keep looking.

OXO good Grips can opener

I tried to open the can of Sardines the ovel and somehow it wouldn’t work because the one to twist is getting stuck. I ended up using my knife to open it.

Disgusted

I ordered this can opener & had it shipped to my friend as a gift. The item was send in bubble wrap, no box, chipped and seem to have been a returned item that was ship to my friend. I am livid as this has never happened I'm my many years of purchasing from Macy's.
