Am a Fan

Combined with Clean MINI, skin appearance improving with each use. Received this device as a Christmas gift. Lines less coarse, reduced blackheads, acne killed within 48 hours. Textured skin starting to smoothe.

Disc is stuck so I can’t clean

I don’t know if I bought a device that was used but there was a disc and filter attached. When I tried to take the disc off it was stuck. You’re suppose to take it off to clean. I’ve emailed PMD directly to see if the item is defective. Also it does not charge.

Charger or device made improperly!!

Charger does not fit into it properly (not snug and will not even light up when plugged in) and will NOT charge. It will only work if it is plugged in!! You can space around charger and seems the device opening is too large and made wrong/cheaply. For as much as I spent, I am appalled it won’t even charge or work properly for even one use. What a disappointment.

Hi. The Personal Microderm Pro is not chargeable. It has to be connected to the Personal Microderm Pro as well as to an electrical outlet for power during use. You indicated that this does power on when it is plugged in, which means that it is working exactly as it is designed to work. If you are looking for one that is chargeable/cordless, you may want to consider the PMD Elite Pro.

Ripped my Skin

I believe my skin is too delicate for the amount of suction that the device uses. I used the least abrasive disc, but the suction was so strong that my skin was torn in several places. I am going to try it one more time to see if it was my error.

Not sure how to feel.

I don’t really know what rating to give this device. When I used it, it was just fine. I only had one little issue on my cheek bone. But when my 18 year old son used it (Exactly the same way I did—I was standing right next to him watching), it did not go so well. It wasn’t until later that we realized how much damage had been done. It tore his poor face up. He looks like he was in a fight with a cat. And now has to coat his face with Neosporin to try and make sure it doesn’t scar. We both tested the tool on our arms before using it, but obviously a face is much more sensitive than an arm.

Skin sensitivity can vary widely from person to person. Teenagers are especially susceptible due to hormone fluctuations. It is always difficult to know how sensitive the skin will be. Thank you for sharing your experience with the PMD Personal Microderm Classic. We're truly sorry to hear that your skin felt excessively dry after use. While some initial dryness can occur as your skin adjusts to microdermabrasion, it shouldn't feel severe. We recommend using a rich, hydrating moisturizer immediately after treatment and increasing the time between treatments to give your skin time to recover. You may also want to use the less aggressive discs as well.

Great tool, but sadly, not for me!

High quality tool. The most sensitive exfoliating tool head was effective, but on the second try, I realized I had used it too much in several areas and caused temporary damage to my skin. I didn't like the suction as it pulled my aging skin, even at the lowest setting. Returned product, sadly.

It is also important to note that while the disc rotation speed on the Personal Microderm Pro can be adjusted to a slower speed, the suction is not adjustable. If you decide to give it another try you may want to consider the PMD Elite Pro that is cordless and has the option of three different suction/disc rotation settings with the same great quality!
