1. The color was quite different from the photo; 2. Despite the measurements given regarding the depth of the mattress, the fitted sheet does not stay in place on my thicker mattress; 3. The fabric produces way too much lint in the dryer, and the lint has an odd paper-like quality rather than what should be the by-product of cotton.

I purchased the FARMHOUSE pattern. Just arrived yesterday and have not used yet. This is the third set (from various stores) I have bought. You want to rotate the use of your flannel sheets to extend their usefulness. I washed the set last night, using woollite laundry soap + 1/2 cup of white vinegar (which is recommended for at least the first wash). The sheets came out of the dryer (low temperature) very soft. The packaging indicates 180 GSM, which I believe as the sheets are soft to the touch. I was disappointed in one aspect of the sheets. The Macy's website had no information as to whether the sheets were PRINTED or YARN DYED WOVEN. I went to another Retail company's website to investigate. The review said they the sheets are yarn dyed. WRONG: at least regards the FARMHOUSE plaid the sheets are printed. As I had to open the packaging to determine this I will keep them. This has nothing to do with how well they keep you warm at night. I just prefer the look of dyed vs printed.
