Great frother - with a caveat

I give the Smeg frother a 4 for one specific reason. As far as making froth, it rocks. But it has a lifespan. I received my first Smeg frother as a Christmas gift. It lasted about 6 weeks. It heated, but did not froth after a while. It was under waranty, so they sent me a brand new one. It worked great for about 2 1/2 years.Then it died the same death as the first one. At that point, you have no options other than finding a general repair person. Smeg does not have an authorized repair location in the US. I purchased a cheap frother online and after waiting for 10 minutes each time for it to froth, I gave in and ordered another Smeg with the knowledge that it will not last forever. I think that is probably true for most frothers. But in the meantime - it makes great froth. Plus, it looks really cool on your countertop.

Cute and frothy

Love this frother! The retro design is so pretty—it honestly makes my kitchen look fancier just sitting there. It heats up super fast and makes silky foam that feels straight out of a coffee shop. I’ve been using it for lattes and even cold foam for iced coffee, and it’s been a game changer. Downsides? It’s a bit on the big side and makes some noise while it’s working, but honestly, the results are worth it. Cleaning is easy too since the jug comes right out. If you want café vibes at home and a cute countertop accessory, this one’s a win. ☕✨
