Not Worth the Premium Price

I used a recommended cleaner, Bar Keeper’s Friend, and it destroyed the enamel on the base of the cocotte. I’m fairly positive my product was defective, because I hand washed the lid the exact same way and with the exact same product, and it looks perfectly fine. Just get a Lodge or something cheaper, Staub is absolutely not worth it.

Love Love Love

Beautiful product! This is my second Dutch oven. I’ve learned that the round one cooks more evenly than the oval one I had previously. Also, the dark interior is a dream. My last had an off white interior that didn’t stay pristine however well I cared for it. I cook a lot of soups and stews year around and this piece doesn’t leave my cooktop. The color (I believe it’s called grenadine) is a deep rich red that complements my earthy kitchen without overwhelming it. This is a Staub product that was shipped from Staub and the packaging ensured that all came to me flawlessly. The sale price was a winner, too.

Imperfections and rust

Tiny imperfections, not perfect -but that’s okay. Most annoying was a divot and multiple spots of rust on the lip. They offered a return, but I got it on sale and not worth the hassle. An offered exchange would’ve been nice. It’s a beautiful piece.

Cherry Red Dutch Oven

I received my Cherry Red Dutch oven as a Christmas gift. I’ve made chili and oven baked risotto so far - this Dutch oven is awesome and lives up to it’s reputation. It heats up and holds heat nicely, clean up is a breeze. Yes its heavy but to me its all part of owning a quality Dutch oven. If your looking to up your cooking game, buy this Staub Dutch oven, you wont be disappointed.

I can't recommend staub cookware enough. I love to make stews, soups, homemade sauce & meatballs. The 7 qt size is perfect and I can use it on the stove top. The lid is the best on the market for sealing in moisture. The heat retention is perfect for slow cooking. The quality is superior

Amazing Gift

The color is gorgeous! I have used this post several times and it is so easy to use. It is, surprisingly, lighter than my Lodge brand Dutch Oven that is only 5 qts. I really love this pot and I can't wait to use it for years to come.
