I thought I was purchasing TOY stethoscopes but, these really work. I can't give them to a 4- and 6-year-old to play with as they could cause harm to their ears. I kept them as we have a number of dogs and people in the house, and we've needed our professional stethoscope in the past. Now we have them prepositioned in readily available places. I gave these a four-star rating as they are a great product but, they should not be sold as a child's toy.
