Great looking watch, bad battery

It's a great looking watch and a great deal (40% off), but it did not work mechanically when I picked it up from the store. I followed the instruction booklet, researched and watched online videos to troubleshoot and nothing worked. I saw in a couple of reviews that other (non-Macy's) customers have experienced the same issue and it is probably a bad battery. A brand new watch should not have a bad battery and I was not willing to have a brand new watch serviced to replace the battery. so I returned the watch to Macy's the next day for a refund.

Defective, not working, probably dead battery

Watch arrived with dead battery (at least right now this is my supposition, it is either that or the watch is not working), will be returning as I dont want to waste my time to ship it to authorized service center and wait for it to the return.
