Tumi is not what it used to be. I have a ballistic carry-on, that never gets checked. The internal parts are now plastic, so almost guaranteed to break. I discovered this when the expansion button quit working. To my suprise the great warranty of the past is, well the past. I travel a lot and don't have time to send it in to be repaired. Additionally the store was extremely vague on the cost. The part is the simple expansion channel that screws into the side of the luggage. I removed the old one in about two minutes. Will Tumi sell me one? Nope, I have to send it in and it will take two months or more for it to be returned. I have been buying Tumi for 30 years, have bought briefcases, backpacks and multiple suitcases over the years. No more Tumi.

It looks of high quality, easy to drive and carry around the airports. I wish it was lighter. That’s the only negative side to this carry on.

I really think this is beautiful bag. It has convenient access and is light weight. I think it does hold a good amount of items. The only reason I am not a 5 star is the bag handle can wiggle if the inside content is not equally weighted.
