Two metal spikes in the bottom are painful

The general functionality is fine. However, for no apparent reason there are two pieces of metal coming from the bottom. They dig into your finger and are quite painful when using the scale. I can't figure out what possible use they have except to cause pain to the end user. Please remove these in the next iteration or at least explain how they are helpful.

3 lbs off

Like another reviewer mentioned, this scale is always 3 lbs off. If you think you've made it under 50 lbs for a checked bag, add 3 lbs to the number and that's what it really is.

Compact size yet functional

I’ve been using this luggage scale for travel for more than a decade now. It is light and does not occupy much space in a luggage compared to other clunky brands. I bought 3 more for gifts this Christmas and all my recipients are loving it.

Excellent quality -- typical Tumi. Displays lbs. and kgs. at the same time. Folds into a neat package when not in use. Has adaptor for Tumi luggage specifically and a strap which will allow you to weigh any piece of luggage with a carry handle.
