Worst purchase of my life!

I am generally quite good at assembling furniture. I was looking forward for the item to place in my home. The way the rods are cut makes it impossible to align both sides. It was very frustrating. I am actually really curious if anyone could put this together! It's made cheaply, and I'm very surprised that Macy's would have such a low grade product on their website!
