Lacks even the most basic abilities
I use this blender for very basic reasons, I make a smoothie every day and that is pretty much the extent of it. This blender is not even capable of doing that well. I use basic frozen and thawed fruits, this blender cannot even blend that without getting stuck. I am forced to add a ton of water to get it to blend through and then the smoothie is just watery and gross. Really wish this product could do even the most fundamental things

Hi! We are sorry to hear of your experience. The behavior you are experiencing is common and easily fixed. If ingredients are not freely circulating, this is a symptom of air getting trapped between ingredients and the blades, which can affect the blending performance. This is easily resolved by the use of the tamper, which will accelerate the flow of food through the blades. While the machine is running and with the lid firmly in place, insert the tamper through the lid plug opening and begin working it in the four corners of the container. As the food travels around the side of the container, the tamper directs it right into the blades. If there is an air pocket around the blade, the tamper will release the air pocket and create a continuous flow of food through the blades. Powerful machine
The basic Vitamix is an incredible machine. Very powerful and also nice looking—much better than the last one I had which had a spout on it that I really didn’t like.

Worth the Price!
I bought this to make homemade vegan cheeses. My Ninja food processor simply could not get the nuts and seeds to the right texture, but my Vitamix E310 works beautifully! I have used it for other recipes as well, and it never disappoints. The design (unlike my Ninja) is intuitive with no awkward fittings, and it is also very easy to clean. My only regret is not buying one sooner!

Try another model
I’ve had my E310 for about 1.5 years. We use it about 2-5 times a week. Two complaints: the 48 oz container does not sit snug on the rubber base. At medium to high speeds the container is not stable. Also, this unit for some reason develops air pockets while blending a lot more than my previous Vitamix. I do not recommend this model.

Hi there! Vitamix containers are not designed to lock into place. Therefore, it is completely normal for the container shift slightly while on the base. When you turn the unit on, you will notice that the container may shift slightly to the right or the left. This is intended, as the motor base is aligning with the container for optimal performance. If you feel more comfortable, you may place your hand on top of the lid while you blend to better secure the container. However, do not press down on the container in an attempt to “lock” it in place, as doing so could cause damage the motor.
Just the best!
I have had my Vitamix for over 10 years and is still the best blender ever. Never had any issues at all. I use it everyday. My daughter lived with me for a few years and fell in love with it. She's recently married and I bought them the E310 for Christmas and they were so surprised and happy. Planning to get her the stainless steel carafe for their anniversary!

Most effective blender I've owned
This blender is so powerful it makes blackberry seeds disappear in my smoothies That never happened with other blenders. Plus, it's so easy to clean!

Amazing blender
I am so happy I took the plunge and bought this blender. I’ve owned it for a few months. I use it mainly for smoothies. I always put my ingredients in the blender in the order advised and my green smoothies are blended perfectly in about 30 sec. It works so much better than my previous blender. Highly recommend.
