Perfect Blender

This blender is perfect for our family's needs from smoothie making to smooth dips. We had a budget brand blender for many years, the difference in the quality of the the blend is astronomical! My only regret is not making the Vitamix part of my kitchen sooner.

love it

This is a great kitchen tool. I got it cuz I dropped the pitcher to my Jamba which I also loved but could not get a replacement for it (even a generic one)... a waste of a perfectly good machine! I know Vitamix has a great reputation and I saw they have replacement parts for everything so I spent the extra $ and am very hopeful this one will last a long time.

Lacks even the most basic abilities

I use this blender for very basic reasons, I make a smoothie every day and that is pretty much the extent of it. This blender is not even capable of doing that well. I use basic frozen and thawed fruits, this blender cannot even blend that without getting stuck. I am forced to add a ton of water to get it to blend through and then the smoothie is just watery and gross. Really wish this product could do even the most fundamental things

Hi! We are sorry to hear of your experience. The behavior you are experiencing is common and easily fixed. If ingredients are not freely circulating, this is a symptom of air getting trapped between ingredients and the blades, which can affect the blending performance. This is easily resolved by the use of the tamper, which will accelerate the flow of food through the blades. While the machine is running and with the lid firmly in place, insert the tamper through the lid plug opening and begin working it in the four corners of the container. As the food travels around the side of the container, the tamper directs it right into the blades. If there is an air pocket around the blade, the tamper will release the air pocket and create a continuous flow of food through the blades. If you are still having issues, please call us at 1-800-848-2649, we would be happy to troubleshoot your unit and give additional blending tips as needed.

Powerful machine

The basic Vitamix is an incredible machine. Very powerful and also nice looking—much better than the last one I had which had a spout on it that I really didn’t like.

Worth the Price!

I bought this to make homemade vegan cheeses. My Ninja food processor simply could not get the nuts and seeds to the right texture, but my Vitamix E310 works beautifully! I have used it for other recipes as well, and it never disappoints. The design (unlike my Ninja) is intuitive with no awkward fittings, and it is also very easy to clean. My only regret is not buying one sooner!
