I bought the surround 700 speakers about 10 days ago to add to the Ultra Soundbar and the Sub woofer 700. The delivery process was impeccable and adding the speakers to the soundbar and subwoofer is very convenient. The Bose android app works great and is very easy to operate. The only reason for 4 stars as opposed to five stars is that the speaker power/output is relatively low. To get the surround sound impact, these speakers have to be cranked up to the maximum setting of +100 on the app. While this is subjective, speakers in the soundbar whether for the treble, bass setting or the height speakers and the sub woofer can handle most audio tracks with a setting of either 0 or up to +20 or +30 but the surrounds have to be cranked up to +100. Ideally the power output of these speakers needs to be increased.

Poorly calibrated from manufacturer
Either 5.1 is seldom used or these speakers are incorrectly calibrated. I had to use another reviewer’s suggestion of placing 4 kitchen towels over the speakers while running ADAPTIQ to get them at a base level. Then, I had to adjust their volume up via the app.

Hello, thanks for leaving your review. The rear speaker channel mixes will ultimately be a creative choice by the studio. Main audio will be found in your front left/right and center channel speakers, this would include music, and dialog, whereas, rear surrounds will only be used for additional effects, ambience, etc when required. It's normal for these channels to not be as loud as the front speakers. ADAPTiQ will automatically calibrate the speakers to the correct balanced volume levels to allow audio to play back as the studio intended, however, if you wish to adjust the levels manually, this can be done within the Bose app. Jeff - Customer Support
Impactful Sound, Beautiful Package
Big fan of these. Several years ago I bought what was the Bose Soundbar 700 - this has since been replaced with the updated / renamed Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar, both of which work with these speakers - alongside the Bass Module 700. Just recently, I purchased these speakers as the final add-on to the setup to complete it, and I'm very happy. I love the wireless connectivity, simplicity of setup, they look great, and despite their small size they pump. Some content is very subtle, others are more obvious, it really depends on the mastering of the soundtrack. I also noticed that when playing music via Spotify casting, you do get audio out of these speakers. I can't really tell if Bose is doing some clever audio processing, or maybe some of these tracks come with some sort of surround sound mastering (I don't think so), or maybe they're just duplicating the full track audio to all connected speakers. Regardless, it's nice to hear music coming from all directions. I have these paired with the Bose stands, which are a perfect height for a standard couch. There are basically no options in the Bose app for these speakers - the settings seem to apply to the whole system as far as Bass, etc... - but you can control the overall volume in comparison to the rest of the system to make them more or less subtle. You'll want to experiment with the Bose "Adaptiq" calibration & this setting to get it to where you want. At the end of the day, these provide impactful, detailed surround sound in a sleek and beautiful package, as you'd expect from Bose. The price tag is, arguably, too high. But for the entire experience when getting the full Soundbar 700 / Ultra set, it's hard to complain about the cost because it's just so enjoyable. I've had the rest of the system for years and have no desire to swap or upgrade, despite having the "old" 700 Soundbar model and missing out on the Atmos up-firing speakers. These complete my setup, and I plan on keeping it rolling for many years to come.

Using the surround speaker at rear end and Sound output not up to the expectation. Do not expect much.

If you are unable to connect the wireless surround speakers to your system, try the following:A reset can reboot your product or it can clear locally-stored product settings, such as paired device lists. Find out which option is available to reset your product. To prevent wireless signals from over-powering devices next to it, be sure to keep other wireless devices at least two feet away from the soundbar and the surround speaker receivers. On each receiver, be sure the L/R (left/right) switch is set appropriately. One receiver must be set to Left and the other to Right; the receivers will not work if they are set the same. Toggle the switch of the receiver to be sure it is fully set to the L or R position. Amazing
Beautiful, stylish, great sound but a bit pricy. The receiver box a bit too big. Connectivity for all Bose products is a bit more complicated than other brands such as Sonos, Bose need to make improvements in this area in general.
