Package was not received

According to an email I received today the package containing a set of earrings was delivered at 3 PM and was placed in my mailbox. However it is now 5:25 PM and I have not received the package. It was not in my mailbox. I’m not sure what is going on although the system note it as being delivered, the package was not delivered.
