Poorly made hinge clasp

I bought these on sale with a very high discount so I was psyched. Although the earrings are pretty the poorly made hinge clasp was disappointing. One earring I could not get it to hook at all because the hook was squished closed. The other was too loose and falling off. I can’t imagine how disappointed someone would be if they paid full price and gave them as a gift. They should really do a little better with how these earrings will stay on otherwise you will 100% lose one. I considered adjusting them myself, but if I did that, and it didn’t work, I wouldn’t be able to return them. Bummer maybe that’s why they were on sale.
