Wobbles and rust

I was super excited about this one and to make meals! It can be used for so many things. After buying it at the store, to my disappointment, and while not noticing it immediately, it wobbles. It’s not even on the surface and worries me if it won’t cook evenly. It should not wobble and I have 2-3 Dutch ovens from the same brand and no issues. Then the edges are rusted where little sharp. It seems as someone retuned it as defective or La Creuset company shipped to Macys damaged or returned item. Otherwise, I can’t imagine it’s manufactured that way. If so, it needs to pass QA. My 3 Dutch ovens I immediately wash, never leave in the water soaked and immediately dry. It prevents any markings and rust. I might get a petal smaller braised at W&S which has a color I need.

So heavy

This Dutch oven is so heavy, wide and 7.25 QT is too much for two in a household. I had to return it and buy 5.5 QT Dutch oven and much happier with it even though I wish I ordered even 4.5. This 7.25 Dutch oven is easy to clean and cooks amazing - all of their products. Even heat and amazing meals. Easy to clean too. My big issue w this 7.25 is super heavy that I had hand pain for entire day. Don’t bother if you have any neck issues or hands issues. For me isn’t worth it to deal w that and try to wash and hold this heavy Dutch oven. Having 5.5QT is perfect to even make a bread in it and also having braiser w a lid.
