Clasp on earing broken and one diamond missing

I love these diamond earrings BUT clasp on one earring barely closes and 1 diamond missing. found the diamond in the box. going to return. So sad because they are the perfect size.

I am wondering about

I'm stunned that the diamonds arrived without a certificate. Besides, the design itself isn't very good: the earrings open too easily, and I almost lost them.
