Firmness

This mattress seems much firmer than the one in the furniture store did. It was already showing body impressions within one week sleeping on it.

If your mattress is too firm, and you are still within your Sleep Trial period, we encourage you to reach out to your retailer to pursue an exchange for a softer firmness. The mattress will feel different depending on the frame it is sitting on. So if the store where you tried the mattress has a different frame than yours, the mattress may not have the same feel. Also, the mattress in the store is a sample and is usually tried by many people, so it will be more broken in than your new one. We suggest allowing 2-4 weeks for your mattress to break in. If your mattress has permanent body impressions, then you may have a defect of some sort. We would encourage you to reach out to your retailer to begin a warranty claim. In either of these cases, we hope you are able to get that great night of sleep you deserve.

Overly Stiff, feels more like a firm or extra firm

That's pretty much it. Not comfortable, expected a mattress with a bit more "give" to it. Wanted something with good back support, and can deal with a breakin period, but this after a week still feels overly stiff. I'm also told that it can take a while longer to break in so I'm going to give it a few more days.

Mattress is Well Made but Boy is it Firm!

So I had this delivered about a week ago. It was SO firm that I had to check to make sure they didn't deliver a firm or extra firm by mistake. I still am not sure because the manufacturer's label on the mattress doesn't specify, however a shipping label attached from Beautyrest to Macy's seems to indicate it is a Medium Firm. I went back to the store and tried it again. The difference is not subtle, it is dramatic. The one in the store is nicely firm but has some give to it. This one is very very hard. So far, I am not getting good sleep. I am going to give it another week or so to see if it breaks in enough to be comfortable for me. I would say that if it does not get a little more comfortable, a Medium Firm is more like a Firm or Extra Firm.

Plush firm!

The World Class level 3 medium firm tight top is the right mix of firm and soft; firm and supportive but with a lightly cushioned top. I don't sink into it and can turn over easily yet my spine feels aligned and hips, shoulders and all joints are comfortable and supported. The mattress is pretty heavy and has a more premium feel.
